"Icon"
Icon is a young Belgian Malinois, and his colour isn't the only thing unique about him. Icon was selected as Tamara's demo dog for his temperament, drive and versatility. Icon travelled all the way from Dallas, Texas at 8 months old in May 2024. He didn't have any training as Tamara wanted a blank slate, she chose an older pup so that she could have a better understanding of his temperament to ensure a good fit with her family.

"Team Icon" (Tamara and Icon) also works with Halo's Pet Rescue as one of the Pet Search Teams who help locate missing cats and dogs in the lower mainland.

Van Zandt's Aria
"Aria"
Aria is Tamara's first Belgian Malinois, who she acquired as a 9 week old pup in April 2013. Tamara had no idea that Aria would forever change her life, together they became a Validated Patrol and Narcotics Detection Team. As well as becoming a dog Trainer and founding Guardian K9 Services.

Aria's drive and temperament are impressive even for the breed, she has done a ton of film work, community demonstrations as well as competing in multiple sports.

Guardian K9's Ammo
"Ammo"
Ammo, Aria's son, was Tamara's right hand man from birth. Ammo excelled at Barn Hunt achieving his Champion title is just 1 year. He was always up for anything and extremely eager to please. Ammo did however have severe dog aggression, not uncommon for the breed. Tamara had to learn the best way to navigate sports and help Ammo to become neutral to other dogs so that they could compete. Ammo like his mother was used in film work with Tamara as the trainer.

Ammo was training in Barn Hunt, Shed Hunt, Retrieving, and Mantrailing when he suddenly passed in 2024, absolutely devastating Tamara.
